Welcome message by the Ambassador H.E. Enrico Padula

The Embassy of Italy in Manama has been established of late by the Republic, just six years ago, so it has a lightness and agility that may be missed in more heavyweight structures, and fits nicely in a two storey villa, set among the bouganvilles rampicants of the Green Island, one of the names bestowed in ancient times upon  Bahrain. But it is at the same time a great  Embassy , because of the country   it stands for, because of  its staff, because of the task it has of acting as a bridge between Italy and Bahrain. The bridge links two nations enriched by their ancient past , that are likewise engaged toward a better future, where  mutual understanding and bonds exist and develop  between the peoples.

As the envoy of the Republic of Italy, and on behalf of the staff,  I have the pleasure to welcome you in this Embassy. and I look forward to extend  this welcome  to you in person, once you are going to visit our premises, possibly after browsing this website.

In case you are coming to the Embassy because of certificates or any other document you  need, this web site should  help you to ease the paperwork you may be requested to do.

In case you have ideas about new ways of enhancing the relations between Italy and Bahrain, hopefully the website may serve as a source of information and data on what has been done. You can rely on the Embassy for support,  as we want to multiply the avenues of encounter  and interaction of Bahrainis and Italians.

Last but not least,if you live in Bahrain and want to keep yourself updated on activities and events of the Italian community and of its associations, you may find here all the relevant information, and this may be of interest for you even if you live not in Bahrain, but in the larger Gulf region
