Curriculum vitae of the
Ambassador Pier Mario Dacco'

Born in Salsomaggiore Terme (Parma) 23 April 1968, he graduated in 1992 in economics at the University of Parma, with a thesis on the economic integration of Latin America.
He attended a one-year postgraduate degree in law, economics and politics of the European Communities at the European College of Parma.

Joined the Foreign Service in 1996, and after serving in the Diplomatic Protocol in 1999 he is assigned to the Italian Embassy in Lagos (Nigeria) as Commercial Secretary

From 2002 to 2004 he is Consul in Buenos Aires.

Returning to Rome, he served at the NATO Office of Directorate General for Political and Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights until September 2008 when he is assigned to the Embassy of Italy in Brasilia as a Counsellor for Emigration and Social Affairs.

Appointed Ambassador of Italy in Lusaka - with secondary accreditation to Botswana and Malawi - where he assumed duties on 2 april 2012.
