Curriculum Vitae of H. E. Andrea Ferrari
Born in Rome on January 18th 1963, he graduated cum laude in Political Science at the University of Rome, ‘La Sapienza’.
On February 1990 he entered the Diplomatic Career and since then, in Italy, he was assigned to the Legal Affairs Department and to the Information and Media Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
From April 2000 to August 2004, he worked at the Minister’s Cabinet.
Abroad, he served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Italian Embassy in Malaysia and in the political and consular departments of the Italian Embassy in Budapest.
In August 2004 he was posted to the People’s Republic of China as Head of the economic and commercial section of the Italian Embassy in Beijing.
In September 12th 2008, he assumed his duty as Ambassador of Italy to the State of Qatar.
Official Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, he is married to Maria Grazia Mattarella and he has daughter, Flaminia.
