CELEBRATIONS OF THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ITALIAN NATIONAL UNITY: visual arts, music and cinema

After the exhibition of Italian artists on the 21st of March and the one of Nigerian paintings on the 30th of March, both at the Residence of the Ambassador of Italy in Abuja, besides the concert at the General Consulate in Lagos (see the section Cultural cooperation for further details), the celebrations of the 150th Anniversary of the Italian National Unity continue within the Festival of European Cinema in Abuja.
In such framework, the Embassy will show on 9 May at 8pm at the main movie theatre of the capital city, "Silverbird", the film "Viva l'Italia" directed in 1961 by world-wide known maestro Roberto Rossellini. The Embassy will also show on 13 May at 8pm the recently released comedy "La prima cosa bella" (The first beautiful thing), directed by Paolo Virzi. Admission to all events is free. Movies are sub-titled in English.
