This Embassy has recently noticed that an increasing number of Communitarian citizens has been condemned to severe custodial sentence because they unconsciously violated the alcohol consumption regulation. In those cases they have been charged with drinking alcohol without holding any authorization to buy it. The competent Authorities warn that:

• those who do not have a valid license for buying alcohol are not allowed to consume itthose who do not have a valid license for buying alcohol are not allowed to consume it
• anyone who does not hold that kind of license (information on how to get it are available at this Embassy) is allowed to drink lawfully alcohol only at all bars and restaurants
• driving after having swallowed even a very small quantity of alcohol is a great violation of the law and it involves at least one-month-detention punishment

For that reason all the nationals and communitarian citizens are strongly invited to respect the rules about it.
