The Ministry of Foreign Affaires, through the website dovesiamonelmondo, provides all the Italian nationals with the chance to register their presence abroad and leave their phone numbers in case of emergency.

The tool, at first developed for citizens on tourism and business trip, now features a new field for ‘temporary residents’, either registered to the AIRE or not, who have been living abroad for long periods. Among the functions, it is also possible to mark the location of the family house on a map.

The service is completely free and compliant to the privacy law. All the information provided, indeed, will be used in case of emergency only and they will be automatically deleted two days after the end of the stay. The service does not affect the legal duty of being registered with the AIRE (Anagrafe Italiani Residenti all’Estero).
